Château d’Or et de Gueules ‘Les Cimels’ Rosé 2009 13%

Château d’Or et de Gueules ‘Les Cimels’ Rosé 2009 13% £7.99

NEW STOCK NOW BACK IN!

2009 vintage now in and what a pleasure this is. Recommended in The Daily Telegraph; "an absolute peach", also The Sunday Times, also the Weekend FT...they can't all be wrong, can they? The colour is so lovely I could happily just look at it let alone drink it. Forget the old, sweet unfashionable rosés of the past; this is a dry, refreshing blend of predominantly Grenache, with Syrah and Mourvèdre which has no oak aging. Deliciously thirst-quenching on a warm summer’s afternoon, strawberry fruit flavours. You will not want to put it down. Drink now to Summer 2011.
You really should try this, it's "light and delicate with hints of wild strawberries, it is thirst-quenchingly delicious. You can also show off a bit - magnums are £17."

Château d’Or et de Gueules ‘Trassegum’ Rosé 2009 13.5% £8.95

New 2009 vintage just in...and well worth the wait, this is packed with fruit and her best yet from this wonderful vintage. The colour is almost like cherries and a bit lighter than the previous 2008 vintage. This partially oak-fermented rosé is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre intended to be both refreshing (drink on its own) and “un rosé de gastronomie” to have with even quite highly flavoured food. Drink now to end 2012.

Chateau d'Or et de Gueules 'Les Cimels' Red 2007

Chateau d'Or et de Gueules 'Les Cimels' Red 2007 14% £8.99

New 2007 vintage now in , and what a vintage this is!
The 2003 vintage was VOTED ONE OF DECANTER MAGAZINE'S 50 BEST WINES IN THE WORLD UNDER £10 AND INCLUDED ON OZ CLARKE'S 2008 GUIDE. The 2006 vintage was "magnifique" and recommended in The Daily Telegraph in April; "...brooding red...spot on."
This was the first wine from the Estate to seduce me! It is smooth, and packed with that difficult to describe phenomenon - terroir. I love it. A delicious, smooth, unoaked blend of Syrah (40%), Carignan (40%) and Grenache (20%) as also found in Chateauneuf du Papes. Drink now to 2015
Château d'Or et de Gueules 'Les Cimels' White 2009

Château d'Or et de Gueules 'Les Cimels' White 2009 13.5% £8.99

New 2009 vintage just in. Now for the third year in a row this wine is producing a white up to the standards of her reds. Full and smooth but un-oaked. Youthful and refreshing; a very complete white which will develop nicely in bottle over the next couple of years. A blend of local varieties. Drink now to summer 2012. Just the thing if you want a change from Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc.

Château d'Or et de Gueules ’Charlotte’ Syrah 13% 2006

Château d'Or et de Gueules ’Charlotte’ Syrah 13% 2006 £9.99

A new wine developed and named in honour of Diane de Puymorin’s daughter who was born in 2004. The nose is rich and deeply perfumed whilst on the palate the 13% alcohol, soft tannins and almost fleshy fruit characters make this much more like a Côte Rôtie than a Syrah from the southern Rhône. Unoaked. Drink now to 2012

Château d’Or et de Gueules Chardonnay ‘Cep de Diane’ 2009

Château d’Or et de Gueules Chardonnay ‘Cep de Diane’ 2009 14.5% £9.99

New 2009 Vintage just in. This is a superbly rich, honeyed, aromatic Chardonnay which has spent over six months in new oak barrels. Unlike any other Chardonnay I’ve ever tasted, it’s a great accompaniment to Foie Gras or Blue Cheese and will develop beautifully over the next several years if the 2006 vintage was anything to go by. Drink now to 2013

Château d'Or et de Gueules 'Trassegum' Red 2003

Château d'Or et de Gueules 'Trassegum' Red 2003 14% £11.75

Only 25 bottles remaining of this vintage. Developing outstandingly! Selected from the best parts of the vineyard, this Syrah dominated blend is barrel-aged for six months and from a great vintage. When asked to describe the wine, Diane (the owner) simply said it is “Magnifique”, the best wine she has made to date. Diane only releases this wine if she feels it is up to her highest standards of quality. So, no 2002 vintage – it was all sold off in bulk to the ‘négociants’. This 2003 vintage is a cracker. No 2004 vintage either; that, too, was not good enough, so stock your cellars with this until the 2005 vintage is released. Drink now to 2016
