Pinot Rosa Frizzante Di Paolo (Sacchetto) 11%

Pinot Rosa Frizzante Di Paolo (Sacchetto) 11% £6.99

Dry and fruity. RECOMMENDED IN THE DAILY TELEGRAPH;"This delight should be on everyone's picnic table."The Prosecco Frizzante from Paolo Sacchetto was last summer's star performer, so he was persuaded to come up with this pink beauty. Light, fruity and thirst-quenchingly perfect as an aperitif all year round. Semi-sparkling.
Prosecco Colli Trevigiani Sacchetto

Prosecco Colli Trevigiani Sacchetto 11% £6.99

Fresh, fruity, perfect for the rest of the summer! Selected here to be a very different alternative to Champagne in every way; it is semi-sparkling so does not attract the higher Sparkling Duty rate, the Prosecco  grape variety  is very much a light, fruity, mid-day type for when the sun comes out. Perfect also as a pre-dinner aperitif.  Paolo Sacchetto’s Estate in the north east of Italy produces a range of wines, but this Prosecco is the one which stood out for me. Dry and fruity.
Sacchetto Spumante Rose

Sacchetto Spumante Rose 12% £10.99

Like the Pinot Rosa but fully sparkling ('Spumante') in case you want more of a 'pop!' when you open the bottle.
Lovre Extra Dry 11%

Lovre Extra Dry 11% £11.99

Recommended by Jamie Goode in The Sunday Express.  "..this lovely example has refined lemony notes plus a hint of peachy ripeness." Beautifully, and delightfully clean and pure fruit, just like the Tréser Brut but just ever so slightly softer due to the bare 3 g/l extra residual sugar.

As befits a winner of a Silver Medal at last year's Wine Challenge in London, this is Serre's Special Cuvée which is even more selctive of the grapes – only the very, very best ones go into the blend. The result is a pure delight of clean fruit, concentrated yet elegant, tiny, persistent bubbles reflect the quality. 19 g/l sweetness. Go on, treat yourself.
