  • Chateau d’Or et de Gueules ‘Les Cimels’ Rose Organic

    The new 2019 vintage is as light as a provence Rose. 40% Cinsault, 40% Mourvedre and 20% Grenache. Fermented straight from the press, no extra skin contact!
    Previous vintages all won accolades;

    Best Roses 2016 – Sunday Express.
    “With a pale salmon pink colour this attractive rose is bright and zippy but also has some warm, savoury spiciness. There’s a lively twist to it and it would make a fine partner for food.” Sunday Express
    “Irresistible. Pink Summer classic.” – SundayTimes
    Recommended previously also in The Sunday Times as a “party wine that won’t give you a headache.” They can’t all be wrong, can they’ The colour is so lovely I could happily just look at it let alone drink it. Forget the old, sweet unfashionable rosés of the past; this is a dry, refreshing blend of predominantly Grenache, with Syrah and Mourvèdre which has no oak aging. Deliciously thirst-quenching, strawberry fruit flavours. You will not want to put it down.

  • Brunelli Bianco di Custoza

    Voted  in both “money no object” and “best value for money” top 5 by our Virtual Tasters this summer.

    Bianco di Custoza has long been one of my favourite white Italian wines. Situated on the sunny shores of Lake Garda it is a blend of Trebbiano, Garganega, Cortese, Riesling and Malvasia grapes. The resultant wine is soft and creamy with a lingering minerally finish. Yummy!

  • “The Manchu Bride” Muscat from The Treaty Port Estate China

    From a vineyard established in 2005 on the Shandong peninsula by Chris Ruffle comes this crisp Muscat with a hint of sweetness, which won gold medal at the China Wine & Spirit Awards in Hong Kong. The 2018 vintage produced a high quality juice which was cold-fermented to retain the floral, lychee character of the wine. Drink chilled with seafood? Or just on its own.

  • Plein la Vue Organic Sauvignon Blanc by Jeff Carrel

    I selected this wine first and foremost because it’s a lovely mouth-filling Sauvignon Blanc, fat and fruity -no edge to it. A happy extra is that it’s a slight 12.5% alcohol and it’s certified organic. What’s not to like?

  • Domaine de Cray Touraine Rose

    I went to the Wine Fair in Paris in February to hunt out a Loire Sauvignon Blanc. After much tasting found a firm favourite in Domaine de Cray. As luck would have it, they also produce this very smart pink. New in.

  • Verus Muskateller (Muscat) Slovenia

    Previous vintage recommended by Jancis Robinson FT; Recommended Refreshers. Lovely floral scents of muscat and orange followed on the palate by a fresh and well-balanced crispness which beautifully complements the not-quite-sweet mouthfeel. (Yes, that sounds rather confusing, but I urge you to try it with maybe a citrus pudding, or just on its own.)

  • Herbert Zillinger Gruner Veltliner “Neuland” Sorry – OOS until new vintage comes in.

    Herbert Zillinger Gruner Veltliner “Neuland”

    In addition to the notes below, also recommended by Jancis Robinson in the FT 5th Dec 2020;

    2019 was a great year for Austrian whites and this has a remarkable concentration of spicy flavour and fruit for a wine with only 11.5% alcohol. Great value for a pure cocktail of flowers and white pepper.

    I have nothing to add to Jancis Robinson’s tasting note;

    “Remarkably intense, pungent nose for an 11.5% wine. Deep golden colour. Really concentrated fruit flavour with none of the fermentation aromas that can mark some young Grüners. Lots of extract and a pure cocktail of flowers and white pepper. VVGV

  • Chateau Lamothe-Vincent Heritage White

    Now we have the full range of Lamothe-Vincent’s great Bordeaux. This Sauvignon Blanc blend has been aged in barrels for a brief time and the resultant wine is full and rich but not obviously oaky. Lovely food wine, but also great on its own.
