White Rioja “Florentius”
Those lovely people from Florentino Martinez produce one of our best-selling wines – their dry, unoaked white. Whist on our most recent visit I also tried this off-dry wine for the first time and really liked it. It’s a floral style (think dry muscat). Drink chilled on its own or with a nice spicy Thai Curry!

Tim Atkin gives it 90/100. “The 2016 vintage marks the second coupage, or blending, of this organic Tempranillo with 14% Garnacha Tinta, sourced from two plots facing each other at 650 meters in the small village of Badarán. Predominantly fruit with a touch of wood. It is refreshing, juicy, with fine tannins and red and black fruits.”
It’s an oaky Crianza, needs no more aging.

Tim Atkin says; 94/100; Nada Que Ver is always among the most distinctive expressions of Maturana Tinta in Rioja. Soft, velvety tannins, aromas of bramble and cut grass, elegant new oak and a ripe, bright finish.
