“The Debutante” Rosé from The Treaty Port Estate 11% China PINK

£14.50

Special Offer price for two weeks only! From a vineyard established in 2005 on the Shandong peninsula by Chris Ruffle comes this comes this Silver Medalled (CWSA) Chinese Rosé. Grenache Noir, Sangiovese and Muscat grapes combine to make this quite deep coloured Rosé with a hint of residual sweetness.
From Qiushan, one of the world’s new emerging vineyard areas. It’s not your light, pale, dry style. This has a bit more oomph and will go with Chinese cuisine. That Saturday night take-away just found a new friend!
Chris’s own notes are;
“The Debutante” is our Rose, based on our Grenache Noir and Sangiovese grapes, with a small addition of Muscat. After a brief period of skin contact to extract colour, the juice was fermented at low temperature to retain its fruity flavours. It is full of strawberry and rose petal aromas. Chilled, this slightly sweet wine stands up well to the challenge of matching the strong and varied tastes of a Chinese banquet.
