I went to the Wine Fair in Paris in February to hunt out a Loire Sauvignon Blanc. After much tasting )over 100) found a firm favourite in Domaine de Cray.
Sauvignon Blanc can often be quite sharp, especially from a so-called “cool” climate region like the Loire Valley. So imagine my pleasure after many, many slurps of quite sharp and acidic versions this lovely softer Sauvignon tickled my palate. No compromise on the flavour, nor on the freshness and summeriness, but nice and round. A beaut for the summer.
