Matthieu devised a special cuvee, just one barrel, to mark the birth of his baby five years ago. Whist he was away on business one day, Diane unwittingly blended the barrel together with others destined to be the Trassegum Red final blend.
"Your'e kidding me?!!" said Matthieu on learning his barrel was gone. Translated from "Mon cul, c'est du poulet?" in French. In order not to offend sensitivities he replaced the vulgar "cul" (arse) with "fut" (barrel), and so the fith vintage of this birthday wine is Matthieu's finest so far in his opinion.
