……and when you consider that big brand Moet & Chandon was £43 in Tesco when I last checked, isn’t this a no-brainer?

When every single wine they make is superb, you’ve just got to stock them. As good as all their other styles, this Rose is a blend of 80% of the “Tradition” white blend and 20% red wine from the hills around Rilly La Montagne. Did you know that Champagne is the only wine in France allowed to blend white and red wines to make a Rose’ All the rest must be made entirely from red grapes.
Compares more than favourably to the biggest seller in the UK, Laurent Perrier Rose, but at about half the price, so go no further…

Really! Honestly! Go no farther than Marc Chauvet for your Champagne. If you don’t want to spend £29.50, then try Blanquette de Limoux, but please don’t resort to cheap Champagne!
To my mind Clotilde’s latest cuvee is her best yet! Soft, full, biscuity and long-lasting (in the palate, that is – I suspect the bottle will be polished off very quickly!)

o 2/3 2015 vintage, 1/3 reserve wine

o Disgorged in after 3 years sur lattes

This is the epitome of champagne. If Marc Chauvet’s non-vintage Brut Tradition is all that is good about everyday champagne drinking (if such a thing even exists!) with 4 years before disgorging, then this 2009 vintage has spent 6 years before disgorging and is simply a delightfully elegant and silky top bottle of champagne. You would have to spend a lot more money (probably £75-100) to find a wine as good as this with a famous name!
