The new 2022 vintage is just in and just as good as ever. Worth the wait, I’d say….A blend of Cinsault and Mourvedre this is as close to a classic Provence Rose as you can get without actually coming from Provence. Well, the estate is just over the border.

Forget the old, sweet unfashionable rosés of the past; this is a dry, refreshing blend of predominantly Grenache, with Syrah and Mourvèdre which has no oak aging. Deliciously thirst-quenching, strawberry fruit flavours. You will not want to put it down.

It’s difficult to find new words for a new wine from Diane as they are all just so good! Perfect party wine! Selected here to be a very different alternative to Champagne in every way; it is semi-sparkling so does not attract the higher Sparkling Duty rate. Prosecco grape is very much a light, fruity, versatile wine. Perfect also as a pre-dinner aperitif. Paolo Sacchetto’s Estate in the north east of Italy produces a range of wines, but this Prosecco is the one which stood out for me. Dry and fruity.
